AC/DC Frontman, Ex-OZZY Bassist, DEF LEPPARD Honored At ASCAP AWARDS
October 14, 2009Andre Paine of Billboard.biz reports that AC/DC's Brian Johnson, OZZY OSBOURNE collaborator Bob Daisley, DEF LEPPARD and producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange were among those honored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) at its London awards ceremony.
The ASCAP Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London tonight (October 14),recognized the most performed works in 2008 by writer and publisher members of U.K. collecting society PRS for Music, who are licensed by ASCAP for the U.S.
In total, 21 song awards were presented throughout the evening. Winners included:
* Bob Daisley for "Crazy Train"
* AC/DC's Brian Johnson for "Back In Black" and "You Shook Me All Night Long"
* DEF LEPPARD and Robert John "Mutt" Lange for "Pour Some Sugar On Me"
